A Novel Organic Synthesis by Using a Mineral Substance ,Using Nano Barium Nitride as a Source of Ammonia for the Synthesis of Highly Substituted Imidazoles

The main objective in this research, is introducing the application of barium nitride (Ba3N2)that is used as a suitable and helpful source of ammonia for the synthesis of 2, 4, 5-trisubstituted imidazoles. The performed experiments revealed this fact that heating a mixture of a benzaldehyde, a benzyl, and barium nitride in methanol, leads to the formation of functionalized imidazoles in good to excellent yields.
