چکیده مقاله:

Polymorphic markers with variable number of tandem repeats (VNTRs) are used in genetic population. These markers have been demonstrated to be stable across generation and do not vary in size upon passage to offspring and known as valuable tools for genetic study among individual and population. Allele distributionsof two polymorphisms were analyzed in three Iranian ethnic groups: Fars, Azeri or Turk and Kurd. In order to examine the effect of geographical and linguistic affiliation on the genetic affinities mentioned groups. These markers were analyzed in 150 unrelated individual residing in three region of country. Fars and Azeri or Turk are dominant ethnic group among Iranian population with 51% and 24% respectively, and Kurd are fourth ethnic group in this subject with 7%. Fars distributed mostly in South, center, East and North and Northeastern and Azeri are settled in Northwest, finally Kurd are located in west of Iran. DNA samples were obtained from, Azeri and Kurd from unrelated individuals living in their main settlement of Iran. All of case who participated in this investigation were male and between the ages 25-55 years. Donors were checked for healthy to document in questionnaire with consent from. Polymerase Chaine Reaction (PCR) was performed for D17S5 and D1S80 with specificprimers. Amplified fragment were stained by 6% polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis using silver staining. We screened a total 150 individuals DNA (300 chromosome) 12 alleles and 16 alleles found at the D 17s5 and at the D1s80 markers respectively. D17S5 VNTR marker showed difference and was polymorphic in Fars in somparison with two ethnics group and same for D1S80 VNTR marker in Azeri. Statistical test would be discussed.
