چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : There are different types of brain injury that flamed and scald burns are most common and make up 75% of burn injuries. Roughly 39% of burns involve the upper extremity. Hand burns are important factors in successful reintegration into society and professional life after discharge from the hospital. Among the different treatments, splinting plays an integral part in early burn treatment. The initial goal of splinting is preventing contracture rather than attempting to correct a contracture once it has occurred. splinting should be initiated at the first signs of decreased motion. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the types of deformities caused by burns in hand and the best orthotic treatment is available. Methods : using keywords searches were conducted in databases from 2009 to 2019. Results : Boutonniere deformity, claw hand and web space contractures are the most common deformity that occur after burned hand. Special splints are used for each deformity in proper position. Conclusion : The results of this study show that splinting in burned hand treatment provides a prolonged stretch Which leads to correct or prevent hand deformities.
