Measurement and Modeling of volumetric properties and speed of sound of Binary mixtures 1-propanol with 2-Phenylethanol, 1,3-Propanediol and Tert-butanol

The speed of sound and density for three binary mixtures 1-propanol with 2-phenylethanol, 1,3-propanediol and tert-butanol were measured over the whole composition range at temperatures between (298.15 and 323.15) K and atmospheric pressure using a vibrating u-tube densimeter and sound analyzer. Partial excess molar volumes Vᴱᵢ, and excess molar volumes Vᴱm were calculated from experimental densities. The excess molar volumes are negative over the whole mole fraction range for binary and become more negative with increasing temperature from (298.15 to 323.15) K and fitted with the Redlick-Kister type equation
