Biomimetic Foldable Space Structures Based on Nature ORIGAMI Architecture

Instead of the nature and realistic architecture methodology, assessments of modern architecture reveal that not only ordinary design and development procedure will not be permanent and stable but also are insufficient in some new human requests. This is the main reason that architectures and structural engineering refuge to mimic from the nature schemes. The concept of using ideas from nature to further technology has been called Biomimetic. Many animals and plants have high potential to serve as concept generators for developing biomimetic materials and structures. In this article, some ideas based on structural and functional properties of plants and animals are presented that led to the development of biomimetic foldable space structures and origami architecture.
