چکیده مقاله:

The mathematical modeling of continuous stirred tank reactor system is developed based on themass and energy balances for the reactor and heating system.Control of a CSTR with a fuzzy logicPD controller and traditional PD controller have been investigated.The controllers designed by thesemethods are used to control unstable jacketed Continuous Stirred Tank Reactors (CSTR), carryingout irreversible first order reaction. Membership functions for controller input and output areselected as triangular shape.From the results it is concluded that fuzzy logic PD controller controlsthe nonlinear continuous stirred tank reactor system faster than traditional PD controller. Responsetime values of fuzzy logic PD controller are significantly less than PD controller. Also PD controllerfluctuates sharply at the beginning of control process which is not desirable for real operation, while PDfuzzy logic controller makes smoother changes.
