چکیده مقاله:

The Zagros is located at the boundary between the Arabian and Eurasian lithosphere plates. The Hormoz complex (Cretaceous- Jurassic) widely spread as oldest evaporate sequence of the world in the southern part of Zagros Basin, Iran. The Hormoz series, under the surface of the earth, as well as its outcrops in folding, along with some fractures of the Folded Zagros Zone and the Arabic platform, have always been considered to research. The distribution of these salt domes are among the Zagros faults in the north, the Minab fault of the east and the Kazeroun fault from the west. In this research, five salt domes of Hormoz series which were outcropped in the five Persian Gulf Islands have been discussed, based on their geological structure, economic significance and tourism potential. The diapers are Hormoz, Qeshm, Lark, Abu Musa and Forur which have significant sediments such as red soil, industrial salt, blue salt, Male salt, edible soil, sulfur and potash; these minerals not also have economical capacity but also created beautiful geological phenomena to attract domestic and foreign tourists. So these potentials could keep alive local economy.
