A Small Transversely Magnetized Linear Generator to Harvest Energy for Portable Medical Devices

This paper presents an optimal method of developing an oscillating energy harvesting system to achieve maximum energy from a small harvesting linear generator, which captures energy from the interaction between the user and the spring decoupled load. Finally the designed power harvesting system embedded in a hip prosthesis to convert human walking energy to electrical energy. The target application of this work is the early detection of loosening in hip prosthesis implants.
