Spectrum sensing is one of the issues in Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs). According to low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and fading effects, a cognitive user might be able to be reliablepresence of primary radios, which motivate users survey cognitive sense, and especially cooperative spectrum sensing. In this paper a sequential algorithm for cooperative double-threshold spectrum sensing in CRNs is proposed. First, detection probability and false alarm probability are calculated for flat fading Rayleigh channels. Then spectrum sensing is performed by different stage cognitive users in asequential manner. Simulation results of the proposed algorithm show improvement in spectrum sensing in comparison to the conventional algorithm and the double threshold algorithm. As a result, the proposed algorithm can reduce the effects of fading in spectrum sensing performance
