New reports of three species of Springtails (Collembola) for Iran

Springtails (Collembola) form the largest of the three lineages of modern hexapods that are no longerconsidered insects (the other two are the Protura and Diplura). They are widespread and abundant terrestrialmicroarthropds. They are small, enthognathus, wingless hexapods with antenna always present., fromseashores to mountain tops, from tropical rainforests to the arctic too Collemola play an important role indecomposition processes, nutrient cycling, in forming soil microstructures and in modifying plant growth. Inorder to investigate Collembola fauna, different soil samples were taken from terrestrial ecosystem in Gorganregions (Zyarat and Shastkolateh) and Collemola were extracted by heat in Berlese funnel during one year(1389-1390). In sum, several species have been collected that two species and one genus were new for Iran.These species are as follows:Isotomurus maculatus (Isotomidae), Folsomia penicula (Isotomidae) and Orchesella sp.(Entomobryidae).
