Development of power grids in individual regions of the country and formation of the Interconnected Power Grid of the USSR provide a number of technical and economic advantages and facilities reliable power supply to consumers. The positive Soviet experience in the power grid development may be useful for planning the development of Iranian power engineering and electrical interconnections with neighbour countries.
