Power Plant Simulators are today accepted as necessary training tools in training of operators and plant engineers.
A well designed simulator is a strong pedagogical system that will bring the operators/engineers safely to the documented learning objectives.
The simulator training must involve briefing, evaluation and debriefing.
Also the instructor station must be a tool for an efficient handling of the training and evaluation of the predefined tasks.
In this respect, the actual training to be carried out in a Power Plant Simulator is maintanance training, operator training, team training and decision training.
The Power Plant Simulator is an important tool for research and can especially be used for testing of planned expansions of existing real system.
The importance of training operators/engineers in avoiding production stoppage is a costeffective training as unskilled operators/enqi.neers can damage c system due to lack of proper training.
