This paper is the result of authors's activities about the design and heat balance calculation of thermal power. plant's main heat cycle and preparation of suitable software named "TCCAD" for use on personel computers.
With regard to heat cycles diagram. of many different thermal power plant which are under operation or under construction, one imaginary general heat cycle diagram was prepared in such away that with omitting the unrequired equipments and systems from it is possible to reach the many existing and reasonable expected diagrams.
TCCAD has been prepared based on socald general heat cycle diagram. with following abilities :
- Easy input data and modification with message for uncorrect data.
- High speed heat balance calculation with high degree of acuracy. Steam and water properties determination by use of (IFC) formula.
- Display of heat cycle diagram and heat balance calculation results graphically.
