The balances of distortion powers for nodes are suggested for use in the analysis of operating conditions of electric network nodes that are caused by voltage and current harmonics. The concepts of generation and absorption of distortion powers are introduced. In order to reflect the interaction between consumers and an electric network the paper suggests to apply the tables of distortion power balances. The essential influence of transmission line lengths on generation and absorption of distortion powers by the electric network nodes is shown.
