خلاصه مقاله:
One of the main issues of the power systems design and operation is the determination of the maximum transmission network capability.
This issue is differently approached by each country according to the transmission power network configuration and dimension, quality of equipment (especially of the generator excitation systems), the distance between power plants substations and consumers centers, and operation experience. The paper presents the conception adopted in Romania related to the determination of the maximum transmission capability of the national power system network based on the calculation of the interarea power transfer stability margin in accordance with the method of small- disturbances. The methodology used for the evaluation of power system aperiodic stability at small disturbances is presented together with the principles of the maximum transmission capability evaluation. These principles are used both for the determination of the maximum admissible power transmitted between the different areas of the national power system, as well as between the Romanian power system and the neighbouring power systems.
