Application of the geothermal Energy has been intensified recently due to its nonenvironmental impact and saving in fossil fuels.
Iran has considerable resources of geothermal energy in Sabalan, Sahand, Makou, Khoy and Damavanad . Moreover, the first geothermal Power Plant will be installed in Sabalan in near future.
This paper evaluates the effects of the important thermodynamic parameters i.e. wellhead outlet fluid enthalpy, separator pressure, etc. on flash cycle performance. Based on the results and some technical considerations the optimized pressure for first and second stage separator, condenser and turbine inlet, has been selected.
