چکیده مقاله:

One of the main responsibilities of electric power utilities is to protect their workers and public against electromagnetic fields generated by transmission lines. Overhead transmission fines are considered as source of power frequency magnetic field which are known as magnetic pollution. Over the last fifteen years, considerable research has been undertaken on power frequency fields (50/60 Hz) and their biological effects on human body. Interesting interactions of biological systems with electric and magnetic fields at power frequencies have been reported, In 1979 an epidemiological study by Wertheimer and Leeper was published that suggested that a link existed between exposure to magnetic fields from neighbourhood power distribution system and childhood leukemia. Since then, public and scientific attention shifted to cancer from power-frequency magnetic fields, particularly cancer from fields from neighbourhood distribution fines. Public concern is growing and in many countries regulatory AEand advisory agencies have been requested to evaluate possible adverse effects of power frequency magnetic fields on human health. A detailed discussion of potential dverse effects can be found in the literature (Ahlbom, et al 1997, United Natin Environment)Protection/World Health Organisation/International Radiation Protection Association 1984, and 1987).This paper presents a model which has been developed to represent magnetic field around high voltage transmission lines. This model can be used to dete the magnetic field level ofrmine residential areas around the high voltage fines. It is believed that this model is a good magnetic field measuring tool for owners of esidential and commercial buildings in vicinity of high voltage lines.
