چکیده مقاله:

in this paper a method is developed for determination of the performance of a solar PV-Battery-Load system for stand alone power supply. For this purpose the data of irradiance have been recorded during the day by a chart recorder over the whole year. These data were used to determine the irradiance for each half an hour of a typical day in a month. The irradiance data and manufacturer's specifications on a PV module were used to calculate the average power generated by the PV module for each hour of a typical day in a month. The manufacturers specifications of a battery is used to calculate the charged or discharged energy of the battery for each hour of a typical day in a month. If the number of PV modules chosen for a particular application is not sufficiently enough, thus this will lead to shorten the battery lifetime. On the other hand, if the number of PV modules chosen for the application is too large, thus this will lead to an unnecessarily expensiveness of the system. Therefore, optimum size of a PV array and battery bank is important factor for a cost effective and good performing system. On the basis of the energy concept an algorithm was developed to determine the performance of the solar PV battery system. The performance can be observed and determined for different number of PV arrays and size of battery bank. This allows to choose an optimum number of PV array and batteries for the best performance point of view.
