In this paper we propose several new methods in order to control the speed regulation of a DC motor. These methods are: Fuzzy auto tuning, Gas-based PID controller, Gas-Based Fuzzy PID Controller and Fuzzy PID Controller using neural network. All the Control strategies utilize the
output speed error and its derivative as feedback damping signals.
