In this paper, has been studied, using simulation to investigate the effect of berm width, on wave run-up over berm breakwaters using a technique integrating Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software. Direct application of Navier-Stokes equations within berm width, is used to provide a more reliable approach to simulate wave run-up over Berm breakwaters. A well tested Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) Volume of Fluid (VOF) code (Flow-3D) was adopted for CFD computations. The computed results were compared with theoretical data to check the validity of the model. Numerical results showed that the simulation method can deliver accurate results for wave run-up of berm breakwaters. The main variables are in the simulation: berm width, slope front breakwater, period and wave height response, depth of stagnation. A total of 320 tests have been performed to cover the impact of these parameters. After review, it was shown that the berm width structural parameters, has Influenced the hydraulic parameters such as wave run-up and due to the increased berm width, wave run-up decreases. Also the wave height and period increases, the amount of wave run-up over berm breakwaters will increase.
