چکیده مقاله:

The Gas Assisted Gravity Drainage (GAGD) process is designed to take advantage of gravity to allow vertical segregation between the injected gas and reservoir crude oil due to their density difference. The GAGD process uses the existing vertical wells for gas injection and horizontal well near the bottom of the payzone for oil production. Here first studied the GAGD process then one of the southern Iranian fractured reservoir modeled with eclipse simulator. The effect of miscibility investigated by injecting CO2, which is miscible in conventional condition, and N2 that is immiscible in conventional condition. Impact of injection rate investigated by altering the rate of injection also effect of injection depth studied by changing depth of injection well. Understood from this paper that miscible injection usually has better performance than immiscible one, mainly because of having better microscopic efficiency, and for activating gravity force there is a critical rate that for rates higher than it increasing injection rate leads decreasing recovery from GAGD process and also in highly fractured reservoir, this case, the depth of injection well doesn’t important since the high vertical permeability compensate it.
