چکیده مقاله:

دولتها در تمام سطوح تاکید قابل توجهی بر طرحریزی منطقهای داشته و متعهدند تضمین کنند فعالیتهای توسعه از نظر اجتماعی و بومشناختی پایدارند. اختصاص بودجه و زمان برای مطالعه توزیع گونهها در مقیاسهای بزرگ بسیار دشوار و حتی غیرممکن است، بنابراین مدلسازی توزیعگونهها مورد توجه است. مدیریت گونههای در معرض خطر، تضادهای انسان- حیات وحش و.. به مدلسازی زیستگاه وابستهاند. بدون ارزیابیزیستگاه گونههای مهم، مطالعات آمایش سرزمین، ارزیابی آثار توسعه و.. ناکارامد خواهد بود. روش های گستردهای برای مدلسازی توزیع گونه- ها ابداع شده است. استفاده نادرست از مدل ها گاهی میتواند پیامدهای ناخوشایندی برای ادامه حیات زیستمندان منطقه داشته باشد.
