خلاصه مقاله:
Paper present the study carried out to understand the effect of continuous reinforcement on earthquake resistance of Reinforced Earth (RE) embankments with two side slopes. Shake table testing were performed on three RE test embankments. Results of shake table tests and backanalyses reveals that, as number of continuous reinforcements increases, embankment becomes stiffer as a result embankment shows smaller shear strain, amplification and higher shear modulus/shear velocity. Use of even one layer of continuous reinforcement near embankment top result in reducing response.
