The graptolites discussed here include new collections from thc Faraghun Mountains (Kuh-e-Faraghun) and thc Gtihkutn Mount:~ins (Kuh-e-Gahkum) in the northern part of the Zagros hlountains, soiithern Iran. A latest Ordovician (persculptus zone) assemblage is reported from Kuh-c-faraghun. A younger Faraghull graptoli te assenlblagc i ildicatch an Early Silurian agc (Llandovery: la tc gregarius or convolutus zonc). 'l'hc Early Silurian grrrptolitc assemblage from Kuh-c-Gahkum consists of sorrlc 16 taxa ol monograpeids and biscrial forms. Early Ordovician graptolites from thc 1~)wcrK' atkoyeh Formation at Banescan in East-Central Iran include Dictyonema ghodsiae and Yutagraptus.
