چکیده مقاله:

One of the important subjects in design and performance of power electronic systems is the issue of loadfrequency control (LFC), which these days has been the focus ofattention due to increase of size, change of structure and complexity of interconnected power systems. In practice, simplePI controllers are used for these systems. Because of tuning PI control parameters through the classic or trial- error methods, the dynamic performance of these controllers is not suitable fordifferent operating conditions and different scenarios of load changes in a multi-area power system. In this paper, fuzzy logic isused to on line tune of PI control parameters. The proposed controller is applied to a three- area power system with threeload disturbance scenarios. Simulation results show that the proposed controller eliminates the disturbance effects of s and converges to the optimal value rapidly.
