چکیده مقاله:

This study investigates the Language learning motivation types of vocational vs. non-vocational high school learners. The primary focus of this study is to investigate whether Language learning motivation of vocational high school students differ significantly from that of non-vocational students or not. The secondary aim is to examine the difference between Language learning motivation type of vocational high school students toward learning English and that of non-vocational students (Integrative or Instrumental).The third aim is to find out gender differences (male/female) in Language learning motivation trend of vocational high school students. To this end,160 students of grade 2 of high school were participated in this research: 57 male and 50 female students from vocational high schools and 53 male students from non-vocational high school. The participants were selected randomly from different majors. The students completed an Attitude/Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) questionnaire. Three separate paired samples t-tests were conducted. All the statistical analyses were conducted by using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program. The results showed that no differences were found between vocational and no-vocational students in terms of their language learning motivation type All the participants, female or male, vocational or non-vocational, were instrumentally motivated to language learning
