چکیده مقاله:

In this research, the effect of saturated colors on learning the past participle form of irregular verbs has been illuminated. Depending on Newman et al (2006) two distinct mechanisms are often considered necessary to account for generalization of the past participle of English verbs: a lexical associative process for irregular forms like speak → spoken and a rule governed process ( add –ed ) for regular. Hereby, the irregular verbs have been the center of attention of this study. As colors have an important role in all aspects of our life, hence it was interesting to know their influence on learning. Through a quasi-experimental research the use of saturated colors (yellow, red, and blue) was examined by highlighting the irregular verbs in sentences. At the end of the process, a post test was administered and the collected data was analyzed. This research reports put emphasis on the benefits of colors in the learning process, specifically in learning the past participle form of irregular verbs among pre-intermediate learners of Language Home Institute
