چکیده مقاله:

Howard Gardner broached Multiple Intelligences theory in his 1983 book Frames of Mind: the Theory of Multiple Intelligences as a model of intelligence that differentiates it into particular (primarily sensory) modalities , rather than seeing it as dominated by a single general ability. The cognitive aspects of the speaking and conversation, has not received due attention. The major thrust of present research was to investigate and focusing merely on one individual perspectives of cognitive aspect, embraced two perspectives in a grid in order to broaden and deepen the analysis by determining the numbers and the types of intelligences with respect to their learning objectives tapped in the speakings and comparing them, too. Through codification of learning objectives of speaking, taken Persian version of Mckenzie’s MI Inventory and discovering the evidences of Gardner's MI, collecting the data rated by three raters and employing Chi-square to determine the difference between contents of the speakings. To find out the relationship among the variables, employed a descriptive and ex post facto design and utilized three instruments namely, 1) a demographic questionnaire; 2) the Persian version of Mckenzie’s MI Inventory; and 3) a standardized speaking proficiency test from retrieved paper-based TOEFL tests. The participants were 174 students (90 boys and 54 girls) of Shahrekord university that chosen randomly in the 2011-2012 academic years. The results showed that there was a significant (meaningful) correlation between the numbers of intelligences with respect to their learning ingredients of objectives in the dialogues, conversations and speakings. Analyzing the data, found that there was a statistically significant difference in the mean musical-rhythmic intelligence scores of the low achievers and the high achievers, which was positive and stronger among the low achievers. A statistically significant difference was also found that positive and stronger mean of females rather than the males.
