خلاصه مقاله:
The ancient Sahara civilization of oasis, which was created under extreme environmental physical limits, was based on a system of man-made artificial water management ecosystem. Nowadays, because of its severe overexploitation, this civilization is being led to its destruction with a dire consequence on the fight against desertification and desert encroachment.Unfortunately, the measures taken, so far, to stop its decline are not sustainable in most cases and often harmful to the ecosystems. The purpose of the project is to demonstrate, through the concrete model of the Eco Ksar Amguid experience, that, by going back to the traditional techniques, particularly through rehabilitation of the foggaras, with an injection of appropriate technologies, it is possible to restore the Saharan oasis to its original social and economic roles while contributing to the fight against desertification.
