چکیده مقاله:

The main goal of this study is to investigate the role of the interface fiber angle on the fracture behavior of DCB specimens during the initiation and propagation of delamination. In order to eliminate the effect of remote ply orientation on the delamination behavior, DCB specimens with stacking sequences of [012//012] and [011/0//45/011] are chosen and manufactured by the hand lay-up method. Afterwards, fracture tests based on the ASTM standard are conducted on the DCB specimens. Results show that DCB specimens with 0//45 interface have the initiation and steady state fracture toughness values greater than the one obtained for 0//0 interface. Moreover, the bridging zone length of DCB specimens with 0°//0° interface is greater than one for specimens with 0//45 interface due to good penetration of two adjacent layers of the delamination interface.
