Adsorption of citric acid onto bentonite and MnFe2O4 /bentonite composite

The use of bentonite and MnFe2O4 /bentonite composite for adsorption of the citric acid (Cit) was studied. The MnFe2O4 /bentonite composite were prepared by chemical copercipitation method. FTIR, Powder XRD were used to characterize the bentonite and MnFe2O4 /bentonite composite. The main phase in the bentonite was SiO2 (quartz), that also presence at the MnFe2O4 /bentonite composite. The adsorption of citric acid from aqueous solution showed that the MnFe2O4 on the bentonite has catalytic effect. /bentonite composite has onto composite. The pseudo second-order model was found to explain the kinetics of adsorption of onto composite
