In this paper attempt has been made to study the effect of time and width of reinforcement sample on pullout characteristic of three types of geotextiles using a stress control pullout apparatus. Test results revel that pullout displacement of geotextiles is time dependent and it increases nonlinearly with increasing ratio of pullout force. In pullout test using width of geotextile reinforcement less than critical width should be avoided.
