The present study , investigates the seisccreponse of earth dams due to some known earthquakes. To analyze the problem , several two-dimensional numerical analyses are performed based on the finite different method and the Mohr-Coulomb elastic-perfectly plastic constitutive model is taken into account to reflect the soil stress – strain relation. The effect of dam height, type of earthquake spectrum and the soil strength parameters are studied and the results are presented through several diagram.
