Based on Iranian Ministry of Energy for designing energy label for refrigerated display cabinets, University of Tehran was assigned to specify a unique test method and design an Energy Label for such products. The project began with a thorough literature survey about world achievements in the field and then Iranian National Standard for display was initiated from International standard (ISO). After establishing a test room and undertaking various tests for several Iranian-made chilled and frozen display cabinets, the ISO test was modified. In this article designing energy label and method of calculating the label have been indicated.
