خلاصه مقاله:

For the first time a sediment core is subjected to geochemical analysis (bulk as well as chemical partitioning studies). In the present investigation it is revealed that considerable amounts of trace elements possess anthropogenic source. The result of chemical partitioning studies for non-lithogenous portion of metals is as follows: Mn (55%) > Pb (45%) > Cu (22%) > Zn (17%) > Ni (13%) Based on the geochemical evidences recorded in the sediment core for the two major oil spill if 1983 and 1991 an approximate sedimentation rate of 2.1cm/yr is suggested for coastal zone of Bushehr in the Persian Gulf. High concentration of Ca could be attributed to the higher productivity rate in the Persian Gulf. Cluster analysis revealed that high concentration of CaCO3 has provided suitable ground for deposition of Fe.
