The digital storage and transmission of information has revolutionised the project environment in the same way that calculators did so some 30 years ago when they replaced the engineer’s slide rule. The paper deals with Data Warehouse functions in the context of a Project Environment and addresses data management and storage as well as search and retrieval issues. Data Management in the paper is taken to include the specifying, capturing, conversion, consolidation, validating,inventorising and storing of data, as well as the drafting of Data Management Business Rules.
