In the management of a project, compression of its duration is one of the main issues. This is usually achieved by allocating additional resources, at an additional expense, to some activities in order to compress their duration, and hence expedite the project’s delivery time. This is so called timecost tradeoff problem. The objective of this problem is usually to complete the project within a given deadline with minimum cost. In this paper, we propose a new solution procedure for time-cost tradeoff problem in which both times and costs are fuzzy. In so doing, we use fuzzy logic and fuzzy control.
