In this paper three different types of passes that are usually used in Breaking-Down Sequences investigated by the energy consumption criteria. In this study the geometrical parameters of the roll groove has been divided into two main groups, independent and dependent parameters. The optimization has been performed only with respect to variation of the main parameters. The distribution of equivalent plastic strain has also been studied in a few optimized passes.
