خلاصه مقاله:
Tehran, the capital city of Iran, is a megacity situated at the southern part of the Central Alborz Mountains with more than 12 million inhabitants. Mosha Fault is one of the major active faults that directly threaten metropolitan area of Tehran. Which have been the source of several major historical earthquakes in thepast. Therefore, it is an important task to determine long-period strong ground motions characteristics for seismic hazard mitigation plan and design of long structures. Therefore in this study the kinematic model with non-uniform slip distribution on the fault plane (asperity) is employed to simulate long-periodvelocity motions for worst rupture scenario at 150 points which covering whole Tehran region . Eventually, seismic microzonation map is provided by using estimated PGV at the sites. The simulated motions clearly show near-fault directivity pulse with different peaks and periods depending on the site location to the fault. The peak ground velocity (PGV) were found to be in the range of 5 to 30 cm/sec. Furthermore, the dominant periods of near-fault velocity pulses were found to be in the ranges of 1 -2 s.
