خلاصه مقاله:
Vertical drop is structure to use for transporting of water from upper level to lower level. Importance of this structure is revealed when it is needed to dissipation of most of energy. In this paper for reduction of negative pressure develope on vertical wall of drop and increasing of loss of energy at edge of waterfall a convergence had been made. Using theory made by previous researchers some analytical models for estimating of energy loss at downstream of drop structure is presented. For verification of analytical models presented experimental data had been used. As experimental data and analytical models are compared for convergence (b/B= 0.9) there is good compatibility between both but by the increasing discharge increasing of loss of energy is more than experimental data.
