COMPUTATION OF STEADY STATE VOLTAGE STABILITY LIMIT USING EIGENVALUE SENSITIVITES AND CONSTANT IMPEDANCE LOAD MODEL

A new methodology has been proposed to compute the steady-state voltage stability limit of power system for a constant impedance load model. The method utilizes eigenvalue sensitivities to parametric variations. The parameter of interest is the system load which is varied assuming constant power factor. The method has been tested using two test systems and the results were validated using a production-grade
software. The method is computationally efficient and reliable.
