For dielectric diagnosis of HV electrical machine insulation systems, a computer aided partial discharge measuring system is developed. The system is designed to acquire and record the partial discharge magnitudes, polarity and frequency in dependence on the phase angle of the alternating test voltage. Making use of two different bandwidth amplifier made the opportunity to partial discharge measuring test in winding elements (out of machine) or in complete machine. Investigations are presented and the results discused.
