lnvestigating the causes of accident in transmission lines can be a great help to maintain the reliability of the system and a useful guide for future design of transmission lines as well as reducing unserved energy period and maintenance requirement. ln this paper the effects of air polution particularly salt on 132 KV line is investigated and some practical solutions for this problem is suggested.
