An induction motor can' be controlled by various methods. In this paper two methods are analyzed, scalar control with independent flux control and direct vector control. Then a joint controller is designed that can do in both methods. By use this controller and the computer simulation results it is shown that scalar controller can be used as a vector controller if its software is changed properly.
