A series capacitive compensation (SCC) of the inductive impedance of overhead fines is used in order to increase their transfer capability. And this way for a transfer capability increasing is advertised both for EHV and for HV overhead fines. But the peculiarity of the HV lines parameters relation determines very weak influence of SCC on their transfer capability. This report is devoted to this subject.
