The Iranian code states that"...with the observance of this code it is expected that structures constructed will be capable of resisting earthquakes without any structural damage". The above Iranian code is investigated and compared with UBC and it is understood that there are some of misunderstandings and mistakes and it is corrected in the sections of equivalent static analysis and pseudo-dynamic analysis.
