A Novel Approach to Power Transformer Fault Classification

In the paper, a method for classifying faults occurring on a power transformer and its vicinity is presented. Artificial neural network is used for fault classification. The ANN is trained with help of a database computed with the PSCAD Testing results show that the proposed neural network can be used for fault classification dedicated to power transformers.
