During Boumerdes earthquake, an important offshore fault has been activated. The location of the fault was unknown before the event. Inland, the Khemis El Khechna fault is related to the activity of south mitidjian accident, its length is about 40 Km and it is the motor of the differential movements between Mitidja basin and Bouzegza mounts. The continuity of the Khemis El Khechna in sea, is very probably, it would be able to that its extension in sea has generated the earthquake. The aim of this present study is to try established the relationship between the Khemis El Khechna fault and the seismic data related to Zemmouri earthquake.
