Erosion-corrosion in fluid transporting pipelines is one of an important concern of every productive industry. The phenomenon of erosion-corrosion has been studied extensively by various investigators but to the best of our knowledge no accurate model has been developed to predict the erosion-corrosion rates in fluid transporting pipelines. On this basis, CFD can play a considerable role in prediction of this phenomenon in fluid transport pipelines. The aim of this study is to present a model for predicting erosion-corrosion rates in fluid transport pipelines. CFD analysis was used in order to predict flow behavior and obtaining model parameters. Also, the effects of reattaching and detaching of flow lines were considered in this study. In order to validate the present model, the predicted results compared with experimental ones in a practical geometry.
