خلاصه مقاله:
a continuous GPS network of ~ 110 GPS sites , called iranian permanent GPS network IPGN was implemented over the whole of iranian territory to monitor movements due to the arabia eurasia collision . This network is recording the data since ~2005 . The half of the sites is located in NW iran and alborz mountains which allow us to better analyze and understand the tectonic deformation in these areas . in favor of this network we present the GPS velocity field obtained from the initiation epochto the end of 2008. all GPS campaigns done in the study area from 2000 up to 2008 are taken into account as well this study refines previous studies inferred from only the 3 campaign data up to 2004 . this is the first time the continuous GPS data in NW iran as a part of iranian permanent GPS network is involved with tectonic deformation study in this area.
